Here in Vaxsjön, close to the hostel, you can take a swim in the morning before breakfast.
On the other side of the lake is the famous Skånes Djurpark (an animal park with only animals from Scandinavia)

The surroundings of Höör resembles more the rest of Sweden than Skåne in particular. Here we have more woods and rocks than further south, where fields are more dominant.In addition to the lake Vaxsjön just below the hostel, there are serveral lakes for swimming and fishing nearby. During winter you can go ice-skating on the lake or why not try a ride on the swedish "pulka"? In the autumn there are enough mushrooms in the area to fill your baskets and if you´re walking along"Skåneleden" (The Skåne trail)you will find the hostel close to you for a rest and a good nights sleep.
